THIS SUNDAY, Sep. 30th
Preacher: Jason (Final message in Jason’s Friend-ology sermon series; Luke 19:1-10)
This Sunday, 9/30, all classes meet in their new classrooms! Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to notify the folks in your class as to this good news and give them help with directions to your classroom. See last week’s Navigator for maps of where every class meets, and at what time.
ALSO…
MIKE LEWIS will be at the church this Sat., 9/29, from 3-4pm, for all teachers who may want to swing by their new classrooms to make certain everything is prepared for Sunday. Thank you, Mike, for offering this!
Sunday evening, Sep. 30th – Movie Night: “I Can Only Imagine.” A perfect church-wide event for the purpose of inviting an un-churched or hurting friend. This movie is well-done and portrays the liberating power of forgiveness.
5:30pm – free popcorn availabe; 6pm – movie begins
Sunday morning, Oct. 7th, all SUMMIT Groups meet at 9:15 followed by a single, combined worship service at 10:45.
Since all groups will be meeting at the same hour, here is, for that one Sunday, a modified assignment of classrooms. On 10/7, all classes will meet at 9:15 in the following classrooms:
108 – Agape
109 – Open Door
110 – Ladies (Smith)
208 – Duncan combined (Note: we’re recommending the combined classes here based on the logic that, if the early class meets at 8am, after class you would have to wait almost 90 minutes before the 10:45 worship service begins. Of course, the 8am class is certainly free to meet at 8am should you desire to do so, understanding the situation I’ve stated here.)
209 – Travelers
210 – Wellspring
211 – Singles
212 – Base Camp
215 – The Mix
216 – Generations
217 – Young Adult
218 – University
219 – Dain (yet to be named 🙂 )
CLASSES BEGIN THIS WEEK!
See the August 23rd Navigator for all the info regarding the fast upcoming start of class for B.H. Carroll. Registration is now open. Class begins Oct. 2nd.
Also, I do have a few Tuesday evenings open for those who may be available to host the students as they arrive at 6:30pm. Interested? Let me know.
QUOTE of the WEEK
I firmly believe that teachers are the modern-day heroes.
