LEAD PASTOR RESIGNATION

In the event that you missed my email announcement to you yesterday please click here.

It is important for you to know that Jason has not only resigned, but also turned in his keys and cleaned out his office.  He is no longer employed at BHBC.

When you, and others, hear this for the first time, you will progress through the same range of emotion every single other person, including myself, have progressed through.

What is of utmost importance is for you to know that you can trust our staff and our leadership teams.   But, more important still – Christ is ever on his throne.

From my devotional time this morning:

“In a world of created, changeable things, Christ and his Word alone remain unshaken.”

WED. EVENING STUDIES RETURN TO ORIGINAL SCHEDULE

Late last Fall, a change was made to this semester’s Wed. evening studies that included “everyone together” events in the Worship Center throughout the month of February.

After discussion, we have decided to return to the original schedule which we agree helps us better attain our goal of effective learning through consistency.

In sum, you will attend your individual, regularly-scheduled Wed. evening study each Wed. evening during the semester except for when classes dismiss for Spring Break.

Once again, mid-week opportunities for biblical learning are listed below:

108 – An Eye-Witness Account of the Life of Jesus: the Gospel of John – Nick Watts

209 – GriefShare – Tom Heath

210 – Strength to Love – Cam Johnson & Dormye Halbrooks

211 – Divorce Care – Isaias & Sonya Martinez

218 – Psalm 23 – Wellspring – Laura McGrew

219 – New American Religions – Michael Dain

DON’T FORGET TO SHARE THE GOSPEL

Dear friends, this is my regular reminder that you never know if someone may be sitting in your class who has never truly professed their faith in the risen Christ.  Perhaps, even after attending church for years, they still don’t have a firm grasp on what being “saved” really means – but they’ve been attending for so long they’re now feel embarrassed to ask.

From time to time, preach the gospel and preach it boldly.  Even offering an opportunity to respond, if led to do so.

QUOTE of the WEEK

“Visit many good books, but live in the Bible.” – Charles Spurgeon

LAUGHTER IS GOOD MEDICINE

Someone didn’t think this through before they installed it.
